> Enforcing peace My stage
>
> So many tears I've shed
> So many bodies I've seen
> Wounded Iraqi soldiers
> And American Marines
>
> I've tried to comfort
> To help some understand
> Just why there's a war
> In this poverty stricken land
>
> Revelations comes to mind
> Evil and war taking their places
> Hatred is written amongst
> The different colored faces
>
> I'm there through it all
> Look below you in the sand
> There is only one set of prints
> As I carry you through this land
>
> Next to your secure home
> Or over on some foreign shore
> There is a battle raging
> As I knock at your hearts door
>
> Evil may seem to prevail
> But lift your face to Me
> I've protected you this long
> To the cross send your plea

(number 1) REFLECTION ON LOVE

Who said that distance, like a thorn of punishment for the heart that
dares to love beyond all prejudice, goes hand in hand with oblivion?
Not even He, the one who keeps this earth in his grand hands, can
oppose where true love finds a shelter and builds the most grandious
empire there could ever exist.

What could be stronger than the power of love? Is there anything more
beautiful and noble than this divine miracle of loving? And is there
anything more beautiful than a pure true lover who cherishes and
savors every moment of existence, every moment full of intense
feelings... Every moment of happiness that fills the air with the
light and sweetest scents from heaven...

What does life mean without love? It's like a rose that dies before
it's even born. It's like the sun light that disappears before it can
even send it's first beam towards the eyes that need to watch the
wonders around them – eyes that will forever wander in darkness and
never find the true reason of their existence.

What is music without this sublime feeling? It's nothing. But when
love penetrates every sound, every single note, then even the deaf
can hear and enjoy it.

Love is the reason to live, the reason to open your eyes in the
morning and shine with your brightest and happiest smile.

Love is the power that overpassed all impediments, the blessing only
the gifted ones can find inside themselves…

I love you… What could be more beautiful than that?

And to my untamed yearning the whole universe will answer in
neverending echoes; the storm inside my soul will always whisper
towards the borderless horizon… it's the love that finds no ending,
the golden rose that never dies, the ageless treasure, the priceless
diamond that no one can ever take away from me.

Katie Hardin (Number 5)

There was a lovely flower that I met
While walking in the woods alone one day;
Such beauty had I never seen and yet
At first I could not find the words to say,
Or understand, my feelings or my smile,
But could not walk on by . I had to wait,
To look, and smell, and touch for just a while,
Although I knew my hour was growing late.

Its golden petals, curled and soft as down,
Were dancing in the breeze as fairies will,
And closer look revealed they somehow bound
The vision of a face, more lovely still,
With eyes of brilliant blue,
Created as my only sight to see
By then I could not bear to look away,
That lovely flower had enchanted me.

I sat, admired, caressed and dreamed of it,
And wondered might there ever be some way
For me to know and love this wondrous bit,
This lovely flower that I found that day,
To cherish it and press it in a book,
Or sit with it and talk of what we know,
Or smell its fragrance, hold it close and look
But much too soon would come its time to go.

Then much to my surprise and pleasure too,
With gorgeous smile, my flower spoke to me
And said, 'You are my dearest friend, it's true.'
My dearest wish was what this had to be.
While my enchanted eyes and ears, of course,
Were dreaming such a charming phrase I heard,
I searched with hopes to find that voice's source,
That lovely voice which spoke such lovely word.

But in that fertile wood there was no other,
No face, no body, soul, nor spirit found,
For everywhere I searched, I found none other
Who might have uttered such a lovely sound.
With that I must believe that it was he,
That lovely golden flower in the wood,
Whose gorgeous smile I saw who spoke to me
Those lovely words which made me feel so good.

Although I knew it was just a fool's illusion
To think or hope that he might care for me,
His words and ways compounded my confusion,
And made me wonder what this charm could be;
Was he a flower, dream, or mench
Who caught my eye and stole my heart that day?

(Number 6)

Mesmerized once again . . .
By your beauty
Held captive by the
Charm in your eyes
Soft full lips
Shaped into perfection
The radiant shine
Of each lock of hair
Divine Creation
I can only admire
From afar
My heart . . .
Unable To resist
The forbidden temptation
Of the desire
I cannot control.

Katie Hardin
(Number 7)

Sitting here in the quiet morning,
I wonder,
I recall his eyes, full of passion
His touch, full of tenderness
His voice echoes in my mind,
Bringing a flood of emotion with it
I love him,
I can hear myself say it aloud
To the warm morning air
I have walked a million miles for love,
Healed a million wounds from love,
Yet still I bear those scars
I have never fallen so completely,
Every breath is for him
Each second my thoughts are on him in some small way
I run terrified through the night,
Haunted by memories I did not want
Trapped at the edge of forever,
Afraid of the pain that comes with this fall
His voice echoes in my mind
I feel his lips touch mine
He holds me
And in that brings me to relative safety,
I have fallen before,
This time I take a leap of faith.....
Knowing it is the last leap I will ever make.
